Siemens, Developer of FEMAP, interviews Cardinal Engineer, John Hering

John Hering, the manager of Cardinal Engineering’s Applied Physics Group, was interviewed recently by Siemens during the 2015 FEMAP Symposium held at the Smithsonian’s Udvar-Hazy Center in Washington, DC.  Siemens, the developer of FEMAP, was intrigued by the unique way in which Cardinal utilized the Automated Programming Interface (API) feature of FEMAP which enabled three Cardinal engineers to conduct analyses on over 1000 unique shipboard pipe hanger foundation designs for a US Navy shipbuilder in just 6 months.  Cardinal’s technique was highlighted in a paper presented at the symposium by Cardinal Principal Engineer, Dr. Chris Mairs.  In the interview, John highlights the application of FEMAP API as a key contributor to Cardinal’s winning proposal.  A video of the interview is posted on Siemens’ website and can be seen via the following link:
