Mr. David Ellis joins Cardinal Engineering

Cardinal Engineering is pleased to announce that David Ellis has joined the company as a Principal Engineer after completing over 30 years of service with NAVSEA.  Most recently, David was the Assistant Program Manager for Advanced Power Generation Systems within the Electric Ships Office (PMS 320).  David’s career has included key leadership positions in several significant Navy acquisition and in-service support Program Offices including the DDG 51 and DDG 1000 Shipbuilding Programs, SEA 05 Technical Directorate, and SEA 21 Surface Combatant In-Service Support Program Office.  His expertise spans all aspects of U.S. Navy surface ship support – acquisition, program management, marine engineering, logistics, lead ship production management, ship class management, integration, life cycle management and naval architecture.  David’s unique skill set, proven program management expertise and unwavering focus on developing, and delivering solutions to the Fleet are a significant contribution to the capabilities of Cardinal’s Power and Energy group.  David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Systems Engineering from Maine Maritime Academy and a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
