Cardinal Engineering is pleased to announce the hiring of Doug Algera into the Applied Physics Group.  Doug is a Senior Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the defense industry.  He is an expert in the use of finite element analysis programs and techniques for solving critical U.S. Navy design issues. He has applied this expertise to the Navy’s newest shipbuilding programs including the Littoral Combat Ship, CVN 78 class Aircraft Carrier, DDG 51 Flight III destroyer, and the VIRGINIA and OHIO Replacement submarine classes.  Doug holds BS and MS degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle and NC State respectively, and also is the only Cardinal with a private pilot’s license.
