Cardinal Engineering is pleased to announce that Mr. Gregory Buley has joined our Applied Physics Group. Greg is a Senior Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the ship design industry. Specializing in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Greg has been part of the hull design teams for platforms as diverse as the USMC’s amphibious assault vehicle, the Navy’s DDG1000 destroyer, and Oracle BMW’s America’s Cup yachts. Utilizing a variety of finite element modeling software together with state of the art CFD programs for the past 20 years has made Greg an expert in the use of finite element analysis techniques which he will bring to bear on structural design tasks for Cardinal Engineering. Greg holds a BS degree in Physical Science/Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, and an MS degree in Aeronautical Engineering from George Washington University.
