Mr. Justin Caruana, Cardinal Engineering’s Systems Survivability Division Manager, presented the Company’s new Comparative Decision Analysis Tool (CDAT) at SAVE. The result of work on a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) project, CDAT serves to guide the design and qualification of shipboard equipment, throughout the supply chain from concept to shipboard operation.
By leading designers towards appropriate qualification methods, whether through test, analysis or extension, CDAT supports digital engineering by providing designers with expert application of the specifications, while informing parametric changes to equipment that can significantly reduce both equipment and qualification process costs. In two separate sessions, Justin provided conference attendees an overview of the development of the CDAT system and a demonstration of the tool.
