Marianne Mason served as the committee chair for a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) event focused on Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) for elementary students in Montgomery County, Maryland. This was the first STEM event since the pandemic and approximately 300 students, parents, and teachers came out to experience the “Design, Test, and Build” event. In an extremely successful event, students launched straw missiles, built ping pong catapults, extracted strawberry DNA plus more in an open, interactive environment.
