Cardinal Engineering is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Edward Ammeen as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Ed has been a respected leader at Cardinal since he joined the company in September 2019. As Principal Engineer and then as Technical Director in 2021, Dr. Ammeen has grown Cardinal’s organic capabilities in technology development and expanded the services and product base towards integrated systems that leverage advanced electromechanical technologies, and incorporate artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics and advanced material applications.
Prior to joining Cardinal, Ed had served the U.S. Navy at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, and at Naval Sea Systems Command. He culminated his Navy civil service career as the Director of Marine Engineering, NAVSEA 05Z, where he was responsible for providing technical direction and guidance to a workforce of more than 2,000, including government, military and contractor personnel, and technical authority in the marine engineering domain. As CTO, he will oversee Cardinal’s overall technical services and product portfolio. He will also lead the effort of developing a long-term technology strategy for Cardinal as the company furthers its commitment to ensuring it brings critical, ground-breaking innovation to the Nation’s most critical programs.
